Ghalia realized her passion for entrepreneurship when she set out to become a tutor at the age of 13. She was unable to find a company that would hire her because of her age so she decided to launch her own business, Toon Tutors, with a goal of providing meaningful employment opportunities for young people and affordable educational tools for families. Her involvement with entrepreneurship continued when she joined the Junior Achievement Company Program in high school.
In 2020, Ghalia merged her passion for business with her love for public speaking and debate by launching TalkMaze, a virtual coaching platform that connects learners from all around the world with high quality training. Ghalia is passionate about advocacy for youth entrepreneurship and serves as Policy Lead and Delegate for Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit. She also regularly volunteers with organizations like Junior Achievement and the Edmonton Innovation Growth Council to advocate for youth and entrepreneurs.
